Abstract

How do you know who sits on the other end of this email? As we speak government agencies across the country are scrambling to comply with new rules requiring them to implement Level 4 Multi-Factor Authentication across their entire infrastructures. The problem is many people do not even understand what this commandment means, much less how to properly implement it. Our discussion will dive into how cryptography not only provide the lockbox for all our secrets, but also how organizations are, more than ever, using it for guaranteeing identity.

Bonus: Key signing at the end for anyone interested in getting started with strong, cryptographically protected communications on which they can trust.

Location:

The location will once again be at the Blount County Library. We will be in the Dorothy Herron room - Room A. There should also be a sign directing people to the room in the hallway. If you have any questions about the meeting, you can contact us by signing up for our mailing list or visiting us on irc.freenode.net #knoxbug.
